Richard Town was overheard saying to Kurt Sletterdahl, and I quote:

 KS> Speed 24000/21600
 KS> Modulation V.34
 KS> Carrier Freq ( Hz ) 1829/1829
 KS> Symbol Rate 3200/3200

RT> How is it possible to have a 24000/21600 connect with a 3200 symbol

Quite easy... symbol rate and carrier frequency aren't all that determine
bit rate... symbol density is the real bottom line. The 2400 symbol rate
will allow bit rates as low as 2400bps, and the rest as low as 4800bps.
