UNIX is a generic term, not a particular OS.

I use Linux on my server(s) and a BSD derivative on this workstation. When
it comes to a Web server, I think what package you use for that is more
important (as well as the hardware you plan to use).

I think Apache is a suitable Web server package but it depends on what
you're actually planning to do I suppose.
