RG> felt a slight push and then my bike began to accelerate. I had no idea
RG> why I was going faster since I wasn't pedaling that hard. I turned
RG> around to see a car bumper right up to my seat and my rear wheel bent
RG> sideways. I was yelling at the driver as my bike kept moving forward.
RG> I't was a scene right out of jaws. The beast with tremendous power

RG> the car stopped to my relief, and a older gentleman (I say that now)

I'm glad you were not hurt any worse! No matter how much of a
gentleman he was, he should not be allowed to drive a car.
There should be strict retesting of elderly drivers, every
few weeks there are articals in the paper where oldsters
end up driving right through the front glass doors of mini-
markets while trying to park in front of them. Just like
you said they get confused between break and gas pedals.
A little while ago a old fellow drove a good six isles into
a thrift drugs. The TV crew interviwed him and the driver
was laughing about it as he told his story. Nobody was
killed but it could have ended far worse.
