The "1" after the "b" is out-of-spec.  You're only allowed
"b", "a" and "g", not "b1",
"b2" etc.  I think the lack of
the leading 0 is outside the intent of the spec too, but I
can't quote something on that.  I don't consider ".9" to be
a valid version.  ".9" is also not a valid real number in
normal usage, you are meant to go "0.9".  Although the "."
separator varies from country to country (e.g. a lot of 
Europe would write that as "0,9".  In fact, they would even
write the number 123,456.75 (American), which we (Australian)
are meant to write as 123 456.75, and the Germans would write
that as "123.456,75".  BFN.  Paul.
