Hey if I want to be lazy CNTRL-ALT-DEL does a controlled shutdown
and switches the box off. The monitor stays in standby at 13 watts
however.

Playstation 3 has already been hacked for IRC and other
uses. Earlier Playstations had custom Linux written for them.

Then there's WebTV for the techno-impaired.

I need to search on "World's smallest server" again as the last time
I looked it was matchbox size and truely easy to build on the cheap.
Parts and instructions were on site as well as part suppliers.
