Next set of hardware changes I am aiming at here is to move the sound card from one box to another, and to re-install the SCSI card that I will be using to support my scanner. This will involve really extensive editing, basically going in there and either commenting out or uncommenting a line in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules. :-) That's with the current (PCI) sound card. First one I got working before that was an ISA card, and required me to run pnpdump first, and then isapnp to set things up properly, fiddling with various parts of the config file before it was working properly. And it did work properly until that particular card died on me.
