Alcohol does have a high affinity for water which will degrade it's
performances as a fuel obviously. I am not sure if it affects the
corrosiveness. It isn't really a problem with metal parts, but is with
rubber ones which are common in fuel systems for seals and hoses. If I
remember right alcohol will make some rubbers swell. I haven't studied
this sort of stuff in 8-10 years so you might want to check for yourself
too be sure..
