I don't think so: that's the defense gun, I try to take it easy on that 
one.  I really don't remember though.  What exactly were the signs you 
mentioned?  If it was the disconnectors on the alloy frame mushrooming,
the S&W rep said it was normal and self limiting.  Didn't convince me, 
but then he reminded me of S&W lifetime warrantee.  I shoot the S&W 
enough to stay familiar with it, but not too much more.
