JV> Not really :)
JV> There's something inherently wrong with the design of this amp. It
JV> seems to be more of a preamp gain shred-monster than a good power tube
JV> distortion blues amp.
In that case, rip the guts out and and use it as the chassis for
something else. :)
JV> I haven't been able to diagram it, as the circuit board is actually
JV> THREE boards, wired together at 90 degree angles. A disaster waiting to
JV> happen.
Hmmm... Hmmm... That's why I like old Fender stuff. Decently simple,
creamy, and loud enough for me. :)
JV> Hey - you know that amp you were so hot on?
Which amp that I was so hot on? :) I now own the amp that I was hot
on. :)
JV> I'm taking a Pro Junior
JV> to jam with the potential new band tonight :)
I like the Blues Jr, myself... Maybe toss one of the blueframes in
there and rip. I like having a couple more knobs and I like the fact that you
can almost turn the master off and crank the volume and you have the most
beautifully saturated sound EVER. :)
