*** Quoting Ivy Iverson from a message to Carol Shenkenberger ***

Grin, I am a voracious reader with a mind to recall a lot of 'trivia'. Hope
I got it right that you are a cat breeder. I seem to recall that. Even if
you arent, you are a responsible person about it and take care to always have
homes.
I seem to recall, you have pedigree cats, with small litters as natural to
the breed involved. That makes you a 'breeder' even if you dont have the
paperwork backing to give papers to the 'kittens'.
Had I known 'Face' was a point purrfect 'American Black Beauty/American Black
Longhair' I would probably NOT have had her fixed. I would have mated her at
least once with another of the same new breed. It's too late now, and with
that breed, you cant tell until they are a bit older than normally one spays
a cat to prevent first heat.
I've seen cats in the Cat Fancy, and other breeder books though, that are
show winners of the breed, and you cant tell they *arent* Face! I've been
told by those who know, she has only one trait *slightly* off, which is the
hair on her 'withers' is slightly long. That however is what they are
looking to breed longer!
I have no idea who a kitten of her quality landed at a 'rescue' place. It
was probably because the breed is so *new* it just wasnt recognized? I
certainly had no idea when I picked her up!
