In the Japanese book, about 16 basic concepts were covered, the one for the
U.S. had about 45 concepts. The reporter that spoke was well informed by a
U.S. group studying math instruction.
"Less is more" IE-with fewer concepts to learn, the Japanese students had
more time to master them.
