Speaking of hazard...
  A friend of mine built a sound card for his IBM with the sound chip from
his old c64. (very creative fellow) and it worked, but when he set the
chip's volume to max for too long, it fried his mommaboard.
  Aren't warenttees wonderful?
  
  Plan for the worst that your machine will east itself, so you don't get
dissapointed when/if it does.
