MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

Title: Ghost Bread (Fried Bread) (Ai)
 Categories: Breads
      Yield: 1 servings

      2 c Flour
      3 t Baking Powder
      1 ea Heaping t Salt
      1 c Milk

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the center. Add milk
slowly, mixing to a biscuit consistency. Knead a few times on a flour
board until mixture sticks together. Roll out to fit a 9 inch
skillet. Dough will be about a 1/2 inch thick, slash a small opening
in the center. This is for oil to bubble through. have oil in a heavy
skillet, hot, but not smoking. It should be between 1/4 and 1/2 inch
deep. Place wheel of dough in skillet and pierce any bubbles which
appear on the top. Cook until brown on underside , turn and brown the
other side. Leave in 1 piece. Remove from skillet. Serve warm or hot.
Cut into pie shape pieces, split with bread knife and spread with
butter or jam. Add honey, maple syrup, fresh fruit, eggs or meat.
