No, they do not.  They only work with xBase files.

They work just fine, although they can be a little buggy.

No time at all, but if you customize the VCL at all, Apollo can confuse the 
DCL because it replaces some of the built in DCL units.  If you don't have 
the VCL source or haven't made changes to it, there's no problem.
The advantage to Apollo is that it allows you to use the Delphi data 
ntrols.
