Tell Martin to stick his lips on a tail-pipe of a running engine, and
inform him that if he blows hard enough, he'll stop the combustion. You
don't *have* to tell him it's an April Fools joke!  Not knowing
your location, but here in Canada, we have a long standing
"Double-Dog-Dare" to stick ones tongue on a metal pole in the
middle of winter. If the kid (I've heard of some adults doing this too.) is
stupid enough to do it, just be sure to call the paramedics.

I have no expertise to weigh in on one side of this argument or the other.
So I stayed quiet, and mostly ignored the thread. I have read enough, and
listened to enough people *who I respect* to not WANT to run as root at the
best of times. If someone wants to run as root without precautions, I would
only offer a fire extinguisher and a "I told you so." What I
gather, is Martin and David say they can secure their rigs to run as root
w/online. More power to them, but I hope they understand this stuff better
than You and I do. A WHOLE lot better than I do! <-;

D-Baiters, from what I have witnessed, are always going to be a fixture. If
they are going to cause a 'brain drain', that's a shame!
