Thanks *very* much for your help. The problem was that the LLIBCE.LIB
that was in my \lib directory apparently was for real-mode only. There
was no LLIBCEp there, so perhaps I didn't do the setup correctly.
I did another setup and created another LLIBCE for os2, and renamed
it to LLIBCEp. When I explicitly link LLIBCEp with my .obj, it works
as expcected!

The compile swithc /Lp dosn't seem to cause LLIBCEp to be used
instead of LLIBCE. I don't know what the problem is, but I can
reference LLIBECp explicitly, and it works ok.
