I was more focusing on some of the tools available however when it comes to
some of the other things such as subnetting, security and such yes it's
slightly different than IPv4. One thing IPv6 uses is NDP vs ARP in IPv4.

Absolutely! In this case it doesn't matter if you're talking IPv4 or IPv6.
