Geeze!  It has gotten cold here early, too.  No white stuff yet, though.
We're headed for another tough winter like last winter around here, they
say.  Neither of my horses seems to have an exceptionally shaggy coat,
though.  I have abstained from blanketing here yet. I want them to create
their own warmth.  Last year I started blanketing way too early and was
really sick of it by the end of the winter.  I decided that I will blanket
when it gets into the mid to lower 20's here.  At that point, the barn will
be about 30-35 when it is closed up.
