Hi Sean,

SD> I bet you hate message titles like that.

No, not at all but what I do hate is really long messages. ;)

 SD> Just a few questions:

K...

SD> 1) Would it be possible to have the number of possible reports
SD> generated in EzyTicIt to 25 or so? I do post in a lot of networks (I
SD> have a lot of file areas coming in and out) and I do hatch a lot, so
 SD> that would be handy.

Yes, it would be possible...

 SD> 2) I tried to hatch a file using: ezyticit /hatch and I got:

It may be incorrectly described in the help/docs but I *think* it is
now - and not /. It's been a while since I've done
anything to ETI as I lost the code I was working on - HD went south on
me.

I've recently found a replacement drive and with a bit of luck, I
will be able to retrieve the code off the old drive. Failing that, I
still have an (much) older backup that I can try to bring up to date
if I can remember how I did it all. :)

SD> (null) : Unknown command line parameter!

 SD> Then, I tried: ezyticit /hatch /? and I got:

SD> (null) : Unknown command line parameter!

SD> Running: ezyticit /? gets the same message.

SD> Is it my doing that is causing the errors?

Definately. ;)

SD> 3) Now this one will drive you crazy. I set up a batch file using
SD> Ezyutil to do all of my echolist updating via netmail.

SD> For example, I use this line (not wordwrapped of course):

 SD> ezyutil -import -A1 -FSean_Dennis -TEcholist -U1:1/21.0 -SMOD_UPD
 SD> -Ld:\autopost\elist\allpol.upd

 SD> And I get:

 SD> þ Ezyutil Message Import
 SD> þ Invalid Network Address

I've just tested that here using -u1:18/200 and it seemed to import
ok. Won't know for sure until I exit Tide. :)

SD> So, I go back to the directions and it says use 5D. So I go back in
SD> and change the netmail address to 1:1/21.0{at}Fidonet and look:

 SD> þ Ezyutil Message Import
 SD> þ Invalid Network Address

Ezy (and utils) is 4/5d so it shouldn't really matter.

SD> Needless to say, I'm kinda going nuts by now. I begin to tinker and
SD> if I REMOVE the {at}Fidonet and run the first command line at the actual
SD> command line, not in a batch file ... it works.

I just tried the same thing in a batch file... same result, I think.

SD> So, no matter what style (4D or 5D) of address I use, Ezyutil won't do
SD> it in a batch file. But, if I use 4D, at the command line, it works.

Worked both ways for me but yet to be confirmed.

 SD> Ideas?

Plenty, but none as far as the above problem is concerned. The cmd
line looks to be correct. I can't see anything in the message area
options that would prevent it. 1:1/21 is a valid (nodelisted) address?

If so, have you set up your Ezycom nodelist compiler, EZYNODE and
compiled the nodelist?

SD> BTW, I hope you feel that I'm not pestering you. I just tend to be a
SD> good tester because I use all of my programs to the limit at times and
SD> my system has to be fully automated because the amount of traffic I
 SD> handle.

It's no problem at all. :)

SD> If you need any files or other data, either netmail me or (MUCH
SD> FASTER), email me at hausmaus{at}darktech.org and I'll give you anything
 SD> you need.

Can't think of anything that would help.

SD> Patrick and I went over and over the netmail thing and just scratched
SD> our heads at the end of it all. :>

Is he having the same problem when testing it?

Cheers ...
