You are an emotionally astute advocate of artificial anthropobiology!

My point was that a radically new artificially mutated kind of "candidate
for successful survival" would be created by the sort of genome manipulation
you hope is going to happen.

Furthermore, that those mutants would , it seems likely, have to be so
profoundly passive in response to provokation of any sort (e.g. any utter
deprivation of whatever remaining instinctive need that their engineered
genome would be programmed to "phenotypically express")  that they would
therefore also not care the slightest about their (perhaps with such
alterations associated) lack of spleens, livers and gal-bladders.
