This strained attempt by Mike to ennoble illegal aliens and liken their
"suffering" to the horror of slavery not only makes me nauseous (anyone
else hear a huge choir start humming _The Battle Hymn of the Republic_?),
it also convinces me of how delusional one must be to believe the above,
cloying claptrap -- especially in the light of numerous news reports I
have followed in the past year...
Slavery? I guess you could claim that -- especially when you consider that
many of these vermin who sneak illegally into our country start up their
OWN underground operations to sneak in more illegals... Only to bring them
in as SLAVES to make their own fortunes. Don't believe me still? Need I
remind you of the grounded ship off of New York that brought in Asian
(Chinese) illegals who were to be bound over as slave labor to "work off"
their passage. There have also been numerous garment industry sweathouses,
run/owned by illegals, using illegals who were smuggled in and enslaved,
that have been busted -- on both coasts... And lets not forget the
bordello in Florida, run/owned by illegals, using illegals who were
smuggled in and enslaved to work as prostitutes (not what those gals came
here for) -- to "service" the illegal farm-hands (so, in addition to
illegally entering our country, they further scoff at our laws by
engaging in and supporting prostitution).
Still don't believe me that illegals are NOT a noble, honorable group
deserving of our respect? Then explain all these other "career choices"
made by illegals (all heavily documented in recent news reports, and all
are booming "industries"):
Selling forged green cards, passports, and driver's licenses.
Selling forged "proof of insurance" certificates (circumvents
laws requiring motorists to have insurance & keep proof in car).
Ripping off "Calling Card" numbers then selling phone time to other
illegals on street corners so they can phone home (where the illegals
came from -- and where they should be forcibly be returned to). When
interviewd, the illegals -- who are all lined up at the pay phones,
waiting their turn to rip-off some poor, unsuspecting American --
don't care that they are stealing and breaking our laws.
Running Medicaid and Food Stamp scams -- lying about their status to get
benefits. When obtained, they use the Food Stamps illegally, exchanging
them for cash, drugs, and/or booze.
Running Social Security scams -- recruiting people off the streets to see
crooked doctors who falsify medical histories to help a person be declared
"disabled" so they can collect benefits. The doctor gets a huge cut of the
lump-sum back-payment, which in turn is split with the illegal recruiter.
Running Insurance scams -- recruiting people who were not hurt in minor
fender-benders to see crooked doctors & lawyers who falsify the injuries
and embellish the account to sue for "damages." The doctor & lawyer get
a huge cut of the settlement, which is split with the illegal recruiter.
And then there is the WORST insurance scam -- involving small groups
of illegals who help stage phony accidents (either by staging a 1-car
incident with a carload of pals, or by picking a target on the freeway
to force into an accident & stage it so that it looks like the target
caused the accident -- this has the nasty habit of causing serious
injuries and even death for the innocents targeted by these vermin).
Anyway, the above is a sampling of many of the noble careers that illegals
pursue when in this country. They are regular role models, aren't they?
