Why wouldn't they be Maquis ships?  The Maquis planets would be even
more in danger from the Dominion-dominated Cardassians than from the
Cardassians alone.  Just like the Klingons are Federation allies again,
the Federation can use the help of the Maquis -- especially after
several weeks of defeats at the hands of the Jem Haddar.
