subject: I can drive, but can`t read

I purchased a usb hard drive case for 2.5 inch drives, along with 40
gig drive. I pulled the 20 gig drive from my thinkpad and installed the
40 gig into the thinkpad, the 20 gig into the usb case. Plugged the 20
gig usb into my computer, hit refresh and LVM gave me three drive
letters. First partition HPFS, second FAT1, third JFS. I can read the
contents of the FAT16 partition, but neither the HPFS or JFS partitions
will be recognized by their respective drivers. LVM won't even mount
the fat32 partition. If I boot windows, it will read both the FAT32 and
FAT16 partitions.

I would sure like to access the HPFS and JFS volumes. Any ideas? (short
of replacing it back into the thinkpad?)

ECS1.1, fat32 driver .97
