Hello Janis!

But there is nothing in policy mechanisms that can gain one relief.

Assuming MG would prevail in a PC against Scott, including appeals, nothing
in Fidonet could ever compel Scott to cease and desist, to prove that,
maybe Scott could resign from Fidonet, leave that cname record in, and MG
is still rowing that same fuggin boat. ;-)

I would assume that this DNS issue has been an issue between 2 parties who
are not remotely affiliated with Fidonet and the remedy does not entail
them joining Fidonet.

If this is a problem, I suggest MG approach the "abuse" people at
Scotts ISP for relief and if Scott should be that person, then MG can
escalate the complaint to Scotts "upstream provider".

To even consider MG's complaint with having a basis is insane, it will
provide him no relief, seeing Scott out of the nodelist is not the type of
relief he would need seeing that Fidonet Policy does not dictate how one
runs DNS, FTP, IRC, IM, WWW, NNTP servers.

I also submit that MG's "hotheaded" demands fueled this
childishness on both sides, the fact that MG is passionate on the
"positions" he takes is admirable, but Fidonet is bigger than
you, him or I. This is why things its so damn hard to effect change in
Fidonet, the ego's get dragged into the room and in this case, one ego is
uncompromisingly too big.

Dont dismiss what I say to quickly, I raise a good point.
