| subject: | Re: Strange Warp colors... |
This is a continuation of my last message..... On further investigation, I was able to track down the reason for the strange colors, and even the solution. It's interesting that this problem appeared under Warp and not 2.11. The reason for the error was that I was following the procedures for modeless dialog boxes given in Petzold's "OS/2 Presontation Manager Programming," and it appears that his suggestions are not sound. The problem was that I was loading the dialog defined with the WINDOWTEMPLATE directive instead of a DLGTEMPLATE, and was using WinDefWindowProc instead of WinDefDlgProc. Apparently under 2.11 both methods give pale gray backgrounds to controls, whereas under Warp the former gives a white background, and the latter a pale gray one. Anyway, I appear to have solved my problem, but it bothers me that Petzold gave some bad advice in his book. Hmmmm.... Michael Duffy While I'm thinking about it, has anyone run across anything programming-wise that worked under 2.1, but not under Warp? --- GEcho 1.11+* Origin: Knight Mare 405 672 5644 (1:147/3006) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 54/54 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 SEEN-BY: 711/430 807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 623 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 147/3006 1032 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
