Subject: Re: How is Dr Jernigan
I am afraid the news is not good. As was announced previously, Dr. Jernigan
has lung cancer. A tumor was found in one of his lungs, and it turns out
that things are worse then first thought. The doctors give him up to a year
to live.
They say surgery is to dangerous and he has chosen not to do chemotherapy or
radiation. He is looking into alternative treatments, and we are all
optomistic.
He doesn't want people calling him to tell him they are sorry. We all are
sorry, and he knows we all care deeply. From what I hear, it sounds like he
is devoting much of his energy to leading a healthy lifestyle, and looking
seriously into alternative treatments.
Dr. Jernigan has will second to none, and I know he will give this his best
effort.
