I believe that split second judgment is different than behavior. I never
said Hirshbeck doesn't get a fine/suspension/some form or reprimand for
his behavior, but I don't believe that he should get a fine or suspension
based upon his split second judgment (the strike three call).

Nope. I said in a post to someone else yesterday or the day before it was
a stupid thing to do. But did it affect his job? Did he make more or less
mistakes becaus of that? I don't think so. But I will agree that for
umpiring, image and perception is often just as important as the calls you
make, and he shouldn't have done it.
