Hi Neall,

     About "PPPBBS" of February 10:

 CG> Install COM/IP...
MMD> Is there something like this for a bbs running under Msdos...
CG> Its made by Tactical Software www.tactical-sw.com and...
MS> Hi Michele... About "Telnet Help"... `VA210.ZIP' `PPPBB301.ZIP'
 MS> I'd try the former `PC-Micro' ~WEB~ site... `RLFossil.ZIP'...
NM> I tried the degraaf.net site. Is the site still up and running?
 SH> Try http://archives.thebbs.org/ra84c.htm
SD> Roland De Graff abandoned all of his software (VBBS/VADV/PPPBBS)...

Since it seems like you checked www.degraaf.net it won't be much of
a surprize if i reply that my copy of `File_Id.DIZ'/`PPPBB301.ZIP' is no
late news: my archive is exactly five years old today... I'm satisfied
with the answers which i've seen lately but allow me to add that there's
at least one ~TelNettable~ BBS where `VAdv' should still be running (the
~TelNet~ channels are handled by a utility from `SynchroNet', though)...

The SysOp's alias is Admiral Wilson. Find him, he may help better.

                                  ;->

Hummm... Perhaps one more before i sign: those who must insist to
have it done under pure DOS and via a packet-driver (as Michele asked in
January) should try to contact the author of `RLFossil' and suggest that
he releases his source-code before this other option is definitely dead:

          `RLFossil's author's address: sapa{at}icb.chel.su
          `FidoNet' address: 2:5030/1082.72
          Physical location: Georgetown, St-Petersburg
Last seen publicly in: `fido7.ru.perl' NewsGroup

Take note that, due to translation, Andrey Sapozhnikov himself also
signs "Andrew" (or "Andrej", i think). His last name
remains unchanged.

Also, BBSing being made up of two sides, it might be good to recall
that for some reason the BBSers may prefer to use DOS as well and that's
what `RLFossil' makes possible as it does
"InBound"/"OutBound" ~TelNet~.

                                         Salutations,

                                         Michel Samson
