subject: Motor Mount

-> The kind od mount I have is the Fulton type. Thanks for your help. I
-> will look at the boat show for larger mounts. I am surprised that a
-> bungee cord would be of much help. I know you are talking about the
-> thick rubber ones, and they are stronger.
-> Can hardly wait for launch, but that's in April.
-> BTW what club are you in? I'm in Etobicoke Yacht Club.
Edwin: I just noticed that there are two types of Fulton egine mounts,
one has the helper springs. Like I said I purchased the 20 hp model with
the 'helper springs'. Yes, I am talking about the heavy rubber ones, you
could probably even use two under tension to help ease the weight of the
motor, try it as a experiment. My boat will wait until May, April is
repair time! My boat is trailerable so I don't have to worry about where
I launch. Lake Simcoe or Lake Ontario it is just a matter of backing the
boat into the water and pushing it afloat. I don't belong to a sailing
club, it wouldn't pay me to join. It would probably save me a few
dollars in gas, but it would cost me a lot more to pay for slip fees.
Once the warm weather comes, I will be sailing in Georgian Bay, Lake
Erie along with Lake Simcoe and Lake Ontario.
