DOTTIE THERIAULT poured another cup of coffee and replied to Pat Knox...
PK> Dottie, Nancy has stepped down as moderator. I am the moderator now
Oh, My Yes... I knew that (VBG) pardon the mass confusion around here and a
huge congrats to you Pat.
PK> I certainly understand your need to drop out of the exchanges. Were
PK> you in any besides the block exchanges that are on a month to month
PK> basis?
Just the Granny Square Exchange.
PK> How is he doing? I recall from another post of yours that he had it one
PK> day and wasn't found till the next day. I also recall that you said he
PK> might end up getting 50% back of the side affected. Is this still an
PK> optimistic goal or has it been revised?
Well, his Case Manager at the Rehab says that his optimistic attitude is
good to aid in his recovery, BUT, he really hasn't made much progress in the
past couple of weeks so it doesn't look too good. He will not be able to
return to work or care for himself it appears. He will be released to an
assisted care facility in a couple of weeks and then we will see what we
need to do to *possibly* relocate in the near future so that we can care for
him at home. There are many homes available for sale in that area and we
just need to find one that is handicapped accessable for him. We also want
to take my MIL with us as she is in a nursing home here in town due to the
fact that we live in a townhouse and she couldn't manage the stairs here.
My mother, bless her heart, offered to send me a plane ticket to go visit my
daughter for 6 weeks. What a big load that was off my mind. I was worried
about how my daughter would take the sad news that I wouldn't be able to come
for the birth. My grandson, Steffan (2 1/2 yrs.) keeps saying to me on the
phone.."Memere, you come to my house soon??" I havent seen him in over a year
so can't wait! When they are so far away, you tend to worry that they won't
know who you are when they are so young.
PK> Congrats on the Christening outfit! I am sure that she will love it!
PK> Also congrats on the grandbaby!
Thanks so much. This will make 5 grandchildren counting my nearly 15 yr old
step-grandson! I know....I'm much TOO young to have Grandchildren
Really though, I just young at heart and much older in many, many other
places!
PK> And we love you! Keep in touch and try to get some rest.
Thanks so much for your caring. You know how much it means that others
are interested in the Crazy Quilt I call my life? Just makes my day.
Bless your heart!
see ya
