I too stated my dislike of how Scott was doing things. I agree with both Robert and Michael in one respect. That is, Scott should have asked people before doing what he did. If that meant sending a netmail to everyone in the nodelist with a Dynamic IP number, then so be it. In that netmail he could have stated simply that if he did not receive an answser within X number of days, he would take that as agreeing. Finished. and while some might still be pissed, they would not really have a leg to stand on, other then if they could prove they never received the netmail. Then a simple matter of removing said node, if that node actually so desired. > As a matter of fact, I have to DNS addresses that point to me.. > > the-estar.com > echomail.tzo.com > > I used to have 4.. > > No big deal.. That is you. Like Robert said, it doesnt hurt anything, but asking politely is the key here. Saying that you are going to do so regardless of what people want, does not make you many friends, and that goes double so if that person happens to be on the FTSC > Then again, Scott may have setup his DNS server to alias nodelisted DNS info > the fx.nx.zx.* method so that configuring his Fido software for new links or > whatever was a snap.. This refers to Michael. Robert never did any of that. He politely asked, and was told to stop waisting his breath because the answer was always going to be NO. That too is the schoolyard bully approach.
