But are the scanners sold there cell-unblocked? I would think that
manufacturers would take the path of least resistance, and rather than sell
different frequency-capable scanners to different markets, just use the
lowest common denominator, and sell U.S. limited scanners in all cases.
Or am I wrong? Could I just walk into a Radio Shack in Canada, punch in a
cell frequency in one of their rigs (assuming it covers above 512 mhz at all,
of course), and not see it rejected?
