Neil,
I've had memory pass the post test and fail when emm386 tested it (DOS 6.2's 
anyway)..
If its a long shot your after, create a boot floppy with it, down the server 
& boot from the floppy..
If all else fails, try swapping the memory around within slots..  If the 
problem changes, it could be bad ram, or a bad socket..  I had 1 new board 
with a bad socket..
Didnt see your orig post.. Are the memory chips 3 chips on the board or 9 
chips??  I've heard the 3 chip ones are funny with big red..
