I think what Tom was describing points out that "the good old
days" weren't all that "good"?

Windows is too close to satisfying non-nerds requirements and
it comes pre-installed with 100s of acquaintances that have
used Windows and are available for advice at no charge at work,
at play, even at home. :-)
