Hi Robert:

Check in your BIOS and make sure that your BOOT order is correct:
Boot Order:
1- Floppy
2- CD-ROM
3- Hard Disk

This slows Boot-up, but you can boot from any any od the devices.

Here I have a very old Adaptec 2940 SCSI card from 1991 that boots very
well. Make sure that you have the Boot option turned on in the 2940's BIOS
also
