Jack Kevorkian...

There was a story I read once in which there was a planet where anybody who
was fed up with life had the access and the right to the proper drugs to
commit suicide painlessly and without harm to others. Folks would knock
themselves out by the thousands every day and those who wanted to stick
round
would contribute to the overall picture (pretty wierd way to look at the
orld
and the enigma of human life). Those who saw themselves as a waste of time
would cease to waste anybody's time any further at whatever time they chose.
Think about it... Suicide as a common cause of death amoung ALL age groups.
People dropping like flies because of little things like the meatloaf being a
little tough.
As far as I'm concerned, let `em go if that's what they want. Don't make me
dodge those bastards on the way to work. If they want out, let `em out.
As far as "assisted suicide" goes, there's no such thing. You either kill
yourself or somebody killed you. Real doctors say they will "do no harm", so
this Kevorkian is NO DOCTOR. Just a hound for attention filling a perceived
need. Those people who die at his hand want to be remembered as folks who
went
the way they WANTED to. Maybe it's not the RIGHT way to go, but they should
handle it THEMSELVES if it's THAT damn important to go "my way". At least
there
wouldn't be any demand for vultures like Jack.
Then, maybe, we can finally get down to business without the quitters in the
way. I hate speedbumps, don't you?
... Always tell your friends you love them. If necessary, use words.
