While digging a shallow grave, Roland bestowed upon us this wisdom...
RB> Supposedly the Baghdad Bully is quite the theater-level chemist. He
RB> and Iran were exchanging mustard and lewisite during their long war. I
RB> think I heard him being extra handy with nerve agents of one kind or
RB> another, too. I tend to think the latter is what caused the DNA
RB> problems. Reason being the very fast nature of nerve agents (able to
RB> kill in seconds). This implies a LOT of chemical activity , and why
RB> nerve gas or other fast acting agents are what is called
RB> 'non-persistent'. I would GUESS the deformities occur in folks who were
RB> at the edge of the exposure.. a particularly VILE
RB> "nick/graze/scratch". RKB
I guess you can see why I'm nervous. To me, a calamity is not being able to
cover the utility bill when it's due. I try and try, but I can't imagine what
it would be like to come home and find my wife and children dead from mustard
gas or an atomic bomb. I don't know WHAT I'd do. Freak out? Go POSTAL? I
on't
know.
Nobody should have to worry about that.
... ever notice how ours is the only planet named after dirt?...
