Never. I have never NOT clicked on something because of an AV.
I sometimes use an AV to confirm it's malware though......
Stuff from reliable sites is usually pre-scanned. Stuff in
emails "look at the sexy pics we took of you" and ending in cpl, exe,
com or scr is invariably malware.
The only malware that made it's way into my system was an
auto-it USB autorun when they were a novelty. I noticed something was
wrong or rather, my firewall did.. The AV did not flag it until 2
weeks later.

PS I have not run a resident AV for almost a year now.
I would never recommend that everyone do the same. People do
click on the strangest things.
