I have a computer with special speech soft and hardware.  My speechboard
reads everything on the screen.  Also, I am using the Bluewave offline
mailreader.  That way, I can do things at my leisure. I also have a
braille printer which will print anything I want in braille.  As well, I
have a scanner which can scan in printeed material and then let my
speechboard read the info.  It's really handy.

My guide dog is definitely necessary.  It is frustrating since she is
well behaved.  My mom's just worried about her new carpet and furnature.
 However, I think sometimes she forgets her shedding cat which is
allowed anywhere.  Also, I always bring a mat for her to lay on so the
hair is not bad.  
Sorry it has taken me so long to answer this message.  At the momment,
the guide dog in question is laying at my feet.
