The doctor is wrong.  It does work both my wife & I smoked over 2 packs a day
when we both quit over 10 years ago now.

She is pretty shaggy.  No she doesn't come in the house ( I am sure she would
if we let her).  She has a nice stall in an unheated barn with 15 other
