   Dear TrapDoor Beta Testers,

   Please take a close look at the TD_1_86b.lha archive, which has been
hatched today. This will be the famous long-awaited TrapDoor 1.86 beta
public prerelease, code-named TD 1.86.b1 "Xmas Edition".

   The archive contains the full release version including all manuals,
read.mes, faqs etc. Please check for completeness.

   Release is scheduled before Dec 24, 1996. Exact date will follow.

   Please also note that our registration policy has changed a little. The
chapters "Keyfile", "Past & Future", and
"Registration" in the manual will explain more.

   This TrapDoor should run without any keyfile, or with your regular
(non-beta) keyfile.
