subject: Code segment attributes

JB> Is there a way to give read/write attributes to a code segment?

No, but you CAN give "execute" status to a data segment, or at
least you use to under OS/2 1.x using DosCreateCSAlias().

I think they are making it difficult on purpose, since self-modifying code
is even worse than a GOTO, and it would be a great place for a virus to do
its dirty work.
