Hi Ray,
Responses coming from a dumb "bot"?
Whilst trying to determine how to remove/swap the 2.5" drive in my VAIO
Notebook, I went through Sony-Europe looking for some exploded-view type
diagrams indicating what I had to remove to access the drive.
On Solution 30291 in the KnowledgeBase there - I found some great
information:
Solution 30291
Description:
I have been traveling with my PCG-700 series VAIO - When I
start my VAIO, I get the error message OS not found and I cannot see
the hard disk drive in the BIOS.
Solution:
The hard disk drive of your VAIO may have become loose while
you were traveling. To resolve this issue - Remove the hard disk
drive, check the contacts and then reinsert the hard disk drive.
Note: there is an exploded view - zoomed, even, for the procedure to
add to/replace/remove MEMORY fitted in the machine, but there is no
reference anywhere on their global sites which illustrates the "remove
hard disk" procedure mentioned above!!
Tech-Support is Brilliant isn't it?
