Hi! I don't run any sort of *nix. However, Rick Van Ruth did up a Debian 3.0 hard drive for me once (happily running Win95b on my sister's machine now) and I made a compile of the same BinkD source as I was running in Win/32, successfully. I copied my regular binkd.cfg file from a Win box to the linux PC... might have made a few changes ...can't recall... but, it worked first up. No problemo. There again I wasn't trying to use non-standard ports. :) In short: use the same core source. Just use a specific .cfg file with the 'iport' set for a different (but not 'well known' service) port. You may not have to stuff-around with the 'oport'.[shrug] RT> Any suggestion as to what would be reasonable port numbers to operate RT> a second binkp server on? Have a look through a nodelist for IBN listings using a different port. Clue: 24555 looks to be popular.
