I use a SupraFaxModem (28.8) that's been flashed up to 33.6... I use a USR 
Sportster 33.6 at work and have absolutely no problems connecting to my BBS 
when I call. The only problem I have is with the "pause" bug in the USR. If 
you want, post your modem configuration information and maybe we can spot 
something.
