good grief... this has almost become an abomination... now everyone's
looking for reasons and software that supposedly can't trim out quotes...
criminey...

yahoo's webmail, hotmail, excite's webmail, netscape webmail, gmail,
mozilla, thunderbird, etc... all have a simple means of deleting old quoted
text when one is writting a reply... every single one of them... i use'em
all and have used most of them for years... trimming quotes is one of the
first rules of messaging etiquette... no matter everything else...
