G'Day Murray,

Since I have also posted my diagnosis in the OS2DF2 forum of
Compuserve, I hope "the appropriate developer" can find the problem
fairly quickly. It took me no more than 20-30 minutes, and I had never
looked inside the header file before; in fact, most of the
time was spent deciding where to look. Once I did look it was obvious
(at least to me).

Nice book! Does it have images of Hollerith cards and everything?

Be aware that much of the grammar supported by PL/I for OS/2 was only
a pipe-dream to us PL/I-ers in 1975. However, the book might give you
some ideas for command-line programs. I suggest you install the PL/I
language and library .INF files from the Dev Conn CD, particularly for
descriptions of subroutine linkage. Stuff like LINKAGE(SYSTEM) and
LINKAGE(OPTLINK) were not around in 1975; the only OPTIONS() stuff for
other languages was FORTRAN, COBOL and ASSEMBLER. I have the PL/I .INF
files' directory in my BOOKSHELF environment variable so that I can use
KWIKINF to look up fancy bits while I am editting source code. It's very
handy.

Regards

Dave
