The threat of trespass arrest is part of our gubernatorial politics in
Michigan ( and the fun is just starting )

Judging by the recent hostile exchange between Michigan Democratic Party
Chairman Mark Brewer and John Truscott, spokesman for the Republican
gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos -- with one threatening to have the
other arrested for trespassing and the other threatening to file an assault
complaint -- it's going to get pretty darned tense.

Brewer held a press conference in front of the DeVos campaign headquarters
to dispute statements in a DeVos campaign commercial that DeVos had created
Michigan jobs as the head of Alticor Corp. Truscott, who said Brewer was on
private, not public, property, had his staff call the police.

While waiting for officers to arrive, the Republican and Democrat engaged
in an argument, at which point Truscott touched Brewer. Brewer then
threatened to file an assault complaint.
