Hi James, possibly installing Windows for Workgroups 3.11 and 3comm or
intel network cards in each machine, connected with coax cable, is on
way, but you want 386 with 8meg ram as minimum. I have 486 8meg and
Pentium 90 16meg networked this way all works fine. There are some
cheaper cards on the market but they may not be up to it.
My 2 are set up so they are stand alone machines (ie use same printer
but printer not networked etc. using auto switch data box.) but connect
when/if necessary There are many variations on the way you can link
them up, try to get a look at how someone else has theirs set up and
work from there.
