From what I'm reading this > card I installed RTMIDI but have found that it will only work to an outside midi (I don't have a way to check that). There is no os2 driver to set up the midi addresses in the SBLive! So Timidity is about the only possibility here. I installed the LBmixer and it works with this sblive! card better than Crystal. The yamaha ym744 card sounds better than Crystal, but had lousy midi timing. The crystal AW320 card's midi was mapped all wrong, sounded lousy, and bombed almost every time. Yeah, PCI sound is not treating us well... Right now timidity doesn't work, probably because it is set as sequencer02. So I need to unload RTMIDI and timidity and reinstall timidity so it will be 01. I think os2 never uses the second. As for timidity, I think to make it sound good we need to download a lot of patches, or the right ones anyway. Maybe.
